Jump Up Super Star~!!
*LOL, so I actually started this just days before the game launched. Then I finally got the game and beat it. Then I kinda forgot about this for a while. But now I came back and finished it, huzzah!*
*Wished I used, yknow…an ACTUAL palette instead of just varying shades of magenta. But hey, still looks nice at least. Hope u guys like it.*

A guidebook for Nintendo Space World 1999 showcased a giant Mario present in a screenshot of SimCity 64. This is absent from the finished game.
The Japanese commercial for Super Mario Sunshine features an original arrangement of the Super Mario Sunshine demo screen music. Note also that Mario says “open salami” 16 seconds into the recording. (Source)

Kool-Aid commercial promoting a point redemption program with Super Mario Bros. Deluxe as one of the prizes. Despite this, a model of Mario from Super Mario 64, a game not part of the promotion, is used for the commercial. (Source)

In Super Mario 64, hanging onto the edge of the vertical wooden plank in Whomp’s Fortress will cause the plank to wobble without affecting Mario’s position, resulting in him seemingly standing on air. (Source)
